Juiced: Rhubarb Carrot Juice

My friend and neighbor recently started juicing. She’s 8 months pregnant at the moment, and she claims that it gives her more energy than she’s ever had before. She looks pretty glowing when I’ve seen her. I’ve always been interested in the benefits of juicing, and I know, like most people, I could use a boost to get my day started off right. A glass full of nutrients seems like the ticket. Not that I’d give up my coffee, at least not just yet.

Juicing is a great way to take in valuable nutrients without having your body word hard to break down the fibers. Through juicing, the food value is readily available to your body in larger quantities then when you eat the fruit whole. The benefits of consuming juiced fruits and veggies include keeping your heart, liver and kidneys strong and healthy. Here’s a recipe for a fresh and simple rhubarb carrot juice from Omega Juicers to get you started. Well, to get us both started.

Rhubarb Carrot Juice

8 Large Fresh Cleaned Carrots
1 Cup Of Sliced Rhubarb
1 Large Fresh Mint Spring (Optional Garnish)
1 Fresh Cut Lemon Wedge (Optional Garnish)

Juice together in the order given; stir the juice to mix the flavors
