Pacific Natural Foods Introduces New Vegetarian Bisque

TUALATIN, Ore., Feb 07, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) –
Pacific
Natural Foods has added a selection of organic bisque to its
growing line of hearty, ready-to-eat soups. Made with pure and simple
organic ingredients, the thick, rich bisques punch up flavor with tender
chunks of vegetables in a velvety smooth base.

Pacific first introduced its line of hearty soups in the summer of 2010,
with six vegetarian options, expanding it to include five chicken
varieties in 2011. The new USDA-certified organic bisque come in four
delicious flavors, all of which are gluten- and soy-free (Cashew Carrot
Ginger is also dairy-free). Inspired by Pacific’s most popular creamy
soup flavors, the line of bisques includes:

Organic Hearty Tomato Bisque starts with a smooth organic
tomato base and hearty chunks of vine-ripened tomatoes, and is
finished with a touch of garlic and fresh organic cream from local
Oregon dairies

Organic Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Bisque combines the deep
flavor of roasted red peppers with the fresh taste of vine-ripened
tomatoes, farm-fresh organic cream and sea salt

Organic Cashew Carrot Ginger Bisque builds on sweet
notes of organic coconut, cashews and spices which complement a creamy
blend of organic carrots, roasted garlic and ginger

Organic Butternut Squash Bisque brings together tender pieces
of organic butternut squash with carrots to create a slightly sweet
and nutty base, further enhanced with hints of nutmeg, cinnamon and
ginger

The bisques are packed with wholesome, organic vegetables and bold
spices. With a shelf life of 24 months, they are the perfect pantry
staple to keep on-hand for a quick and easy lunch or dinner option any
time of year.

Like Pacific’s full hearty soup line, the bisques are packaged in
innovative, BPA-free Tetra Recart cartons that ensure the fresh,
homemade taste that consumers prefer. The bisques are available now at
grocery stores and natural food markets nationwide (SRP $3.29-$3.49 for
17.6 oz.).
