Often enjoyed with a cup of coffee, biscotti will offer an alternative to the usual assortment of cookies you make have on your plate. Food Network chef Giada De Laurentiis makes a holiday biscotti featured on the Food Network website that incorporates pistachios and dried cranberries into every bite. The biscotti even become more festive by dipping them into white chocolate and sprinkling them with red and green sugar crystals.

Thumbprint Cookies

These cookies are made in a variety of ways with different fillings placed in the thumbprint, but usually are enjoyed with a dollop of your favorite preserve in the center. The Betty Crocker website lists a recipe for the thumbprint cookie that rolls the dough into chopped nuts, giving the already delicious cookie an added crunch.

Gingerbread Man Cookie

You can run, run as fast as you can, but chances are you won’t be able to keep anyone away from these gingerbread men cookies. Martha Stewart advises chilling the dough for some extra time in order to roll it out easier. Her recipe also uses all of the key spices to any gingerbread cookie: nutmeg, cloves and of course ginger.

No Bake Snowball Cookies
