L.A. Beer Week, Oct. 10-23
The third annual L.A. Beer Week is just around the corner with events going on all around the city for 14 days, from Oct. 10 to 23.
Events include beer pairing dinners, book signings, craft beer debuts, beer crawls, educational seminars and more.
Some event highlights: a musical beer crawl in Echo Park, Firestone Walker’s 15th anniversary debut, Verdugo Bar Oktoberfest, and Beachwood BBQ molecular gastronomy dinner with the Bruery, just to name a few.
The beer celebration will culminate in a festival at Union Station on Oct. 23, where 70 local, regional, national, and international craft and artisan breweries will be showing off their best selections ,including some specialty beers only available during L.A. Beer Week. L.A. Times Food section contributor Charles Perry will be on a panel (2 to 4 p.m.) with Mark Jilg of Craftsman Brewing and others, moderated by KCRW’s Evan Kleiman; Perry will be talking about the early history of L.A. beer in the 1850s and 1860s. There will also be food trucks and local chocolates and coffee.
