AT&T Tops PETA List Of Vegetarian-Friendly Ball Parks

SAN FRANCISCO — Two Bay Area ballparks have been named among the country’s 10 most vegetarian-friendly baseball venues by an animal rights group.

San Francisco’s ATT Park topped the list, created by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, PETA officials said.

The park goes offers baseball fans a variety of meat-free options including vegetarian sushi, burritos, and Portobello mushroom sandwiches, PETA officials said.

“For many Giants fans, the only thing sweeter than a World Series championship is knowing that no animals had to suffer for a tasty ballpark meal,” PETA associate director Chris Holbein said in a statement.

The Overstock.com Coliseum, home of the Oakland Athletics, was sixth on the list, a step up from last year’s honorable mention.

This is the 10th year PETA has compiled the list.
