Skinner stored the wine in a garage and a shed on the property, according to Jennifer Farinholt, a public relations specialist for ABC.
The wine was sold for approximately $7-8 per half gallon. Agents didn’t observe on-premise consumption of the alcohol, Farinholt said.
Skinner’s charges include; felony illegal manufacture of alcoholic beverages and illegal sale of alcoholic beverages without a license. The 670 gallons of wine seized were valued at $9,000. Authorities also seized one gallon of moonshine.
The Newport News Police Department and Virginia Marine Police also assisted in the investigation.
